Carr Bros. Established 1892

Carr Bros. has been a local, family owned company since 1892, spanning 5 generations. Originally a coal and builder’s supplier located in downtown Bedford at 40 South Park Street, Carr Bros. has a rich history of serving the community by way of horse and buggy. Carr Bros. initially sold various types of coal to the public. As we expanded, Carr Bros. sold building supplies such as brick, plaster, steel, basement windows, sewer pipe, drain tile and, of course, concrete.

Progress and Change

Throughout the years, Carr Bros. has become a household name in our community and beyond. In the late 1940’s, Carr Bros. President, Floyd Carr, wrote a letter to Henry Ford offering to supply concrete for the Walton Hills Ford Plant. Henry Ford accepted our bid and we became the official supplier of concrete to the Walton Hills Ford Plant. Due to vehicle limitations, we supplied the entire job by delivering 3 yards at a time. In 1953, as Carr Bros. popularity grew, we relocated to our current location, 7177 Northfield Road in Walton Hills, Ohio. Carr Bros. has always served the community with pride and excellent service. We currently supply concrete to a multitude of jobs daily, ranging from large commercial work to small residential pours.
